Overview
Developers building or evaluating autonomous AI agents often struggle to find which projects exist, what each one does, and how they compare. awesome-ai-agents, maintained by the E2B team, is a curated list that organizes AI agent projects into open-source and closed-source sections, with short descriptions, categories and links to documentation, papers and repositories.
The list covers general-purpose agents, build-your-own frameworks and multi-agent systems, including projects such as AutoGPT-style platforms, AgentGPT, AgentVerse and the Agents library. A companion web version lets users filter entries by category and use case, and the repository invites community submissions through pull requests or a form.
It is intended for AI engineers, researchers and product teams who want a starting point for surveying the agent ecosystem before choosing a framework or tool to adopt.
The list is a reference catalog rather than a software package, so it is used by browsing the README or the web interface and by following the linked projects.
