Overview

Getting consistent, high-quality results from GitHub Copilot often means writing the same prompts, coding standards and specialized agent setups again and again. Awesome Copilot gathers community-created customizations in one place so developers can reuse them instead of building from scratch. The repository contains custom agents that integrate with MCP servers, instructions that apply coding standards automatically by file pattern, self-contained skills with bundled assets, and curated plugins that bundle agents and skills for specific workflows. A searchable website, a Learning Hub with guides, and a machine-readable llms.txt listing make the collection easy to browse. Plugins can be installed directly with the Copilot CLI. The project is released under the MIT license and is aimed at developers and teams who use GitHub Copilot in VS Code or the Copilot CLI. Because the contributions come from third-party authors, the project recommends inspecting any agent and its documentation before installing it. Related keywords: GitHub Copilot, custom agents, prompt engineering, agent skills, MCP servers.
