Many people keep passwords, one-time codes and private notes scattered across browsers, sticky notes and cloud services, which makes them hard to manage and easy to lose. KeePassXC solves this by storing usernames, passwords, URLs, attachments and notes in a single encrypted KDBX database file that you control and can keep in any location, including private or public cloud storage. The application runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and organizes entries into customizable groups with titles and icons. It includes a password generator for random passwords or passphrases, TOTP storage and generation, YubiKey challenge-response support, Auto-Type into applications, and browser integration with Chrome, Firefox, Edge and other browsers, including passkey support. A command line interface, SSH agent integration and a Secret Service implementation are available for technical users. KeePassXC is a community-driven port of KeePass Password Safe, distributed under GPL-2 or GPL-3.
