markor

Many note-taking and to-do apps lock your text into proprietary formats or require a network connection, making it hard to keep notes that stay usable with other tools. Markor is a simple, lightweight text editor for Android that works with plain-text formats such as Markdown, todo.txt, Zim/WikiText, AsciiDoc, Org-Mode and CSV, so your notes remain readable on any platform. The app covers note-taking and list management with a notebook folder, a QuickNote area and a To-Do file, plus syntax highlighting, format-specific action buttons, HTML and PDF export, a Markdown preview and optional AES256 encryption of text files. Markor works completely offline and includes no ads. It suits anyone who wants plain-text notes on Android and needs to sync or edit files with other software. Markor is open-source free software, and it is available on F-Droid and GitHub.
