Overview

OBS Studio is open-source software for capturing, compositing, encoding, recording, and streaming video content. It gives creators, gamers and streamers a single tool to combine screens, cameras, windows and other sources into a scene, then send the result to a live stream or save it as a recording. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and is distributed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later. The project offers help documentation, developer and API references, and a forum and Discord community for support and contributions, with translations managed through Crowdin. OBS Studio is aimed at people who broadcast or record video on their own machines, from game streams to tutorials and live shows, and who want full control over their setup without paying for proprietary software.
