Overview

Teams often keep product docs, internal wikis and meeting notes scattered across tools, which makes knowledge hard to find and keep current. Docmost is open-source collaborative wiki and documentation software that brings these into one place, with real-time editing so several people can write the same page at once. Its core features include spaces for organizing content, permissions management and groups for controlling access, comments, page history, full-text search and file attachments. Pages can include diagrams from Draw.io, Excalidraw and Mermaid, plus embeds such as Airtable, Loom and Miro, and the interface is translated into more than ten languages. Docmost is aimed at teams that want a Confluence- or Notion-style knowledge base they can control themselves. The core is licensed under AGPL 3.0, enterprise features are available under a separate license, and the project offers documentation for self-hosting as well as a cloud version.
