Overview

Developers who want users to write markdown without seeing raw syntax often end up building a custom rich-text editor from scratch. Milkdown addresses this as a framework: a plugin-driven WYSIWYG markdown editor inspired by Typora, built on top of ProseMirror and remark. Because features are added through plugins, teams can assemble an editor with only the markdown and editing behavior they need, including GFM support. The project is written in TypeScript and published as a set of @milkdown packages on npm. Milkdown is intended for web developers building note-taking, documentation or content tools who want an editable markdown experience inside their own applications.
