Overview

Maintaining documentation often means running a static site build every time a page changes. Docsify removes that step: it turns one or more Markdown files into a website that renders in the browser, with no statically built HTML files to generate and deploy. It is simple and lightweight, and includes a full-text search plugin, several built-in themes, emoji support, and a plugin API for extending it. Its command line interface helps scaffold and serve a documentation project locally, and the output can be hosted on any static web server or on GitHub Pages. Docsify is aimed at developers and maintainers who want project documentation to live alongside their code as plain Markdown. It is released under the MIT license.
