luanti

Luanti is a voxel game engine for building block-based games, in the style of sandbox worlds where players dig, place and craft materials. It gives game creators and modders a platform to build their own games and mods, so they do not have to write a rendering and world engine from scratch. The engine is written in C++ and is driven by Lua scripting, which makes it approachable for modders. Games are built on top of the engine and can be played as singleplayer worlds or hosted on a multiplayer server, including via Docker. The project is free and open source, and its documentation covers compiling on Linux, Windows and macOS. Luanti is aimed at players who want to explore and build in voxel worlds, and at developers who want to make or modify games. It runs as a desktop application on the major operating systems.
