From public sourcesLibreSign is an open-source document signing application for Nextcloud that lets organizations run controlled signing workflows with traceable records.
Overview
Organizations often need document signing that follows internal rules, legal requirements and approval processes, but generic signing tools offer limited control over who signs, in what order and how each request is tracked. LibreSign addresses this inside Nextcloud. It lets teams define signing order, roles and rules per document flow, include internal and external signers in the same request, and track signatures from start to completion.
The application also sends notifications and reminders to signers, keeps a traceable record of requests, actions and validations, and validates signed documents and certificate status. It works directly with Nextcloud files, users and sharing context, and exposes APIs for integration with other systems.
LibreSign is aimed at teams for whom signing is part of a governed business process, such as audit-driven or compliance-focused organizations. It is licensed under AGPL-3.0 and runs as a Nextcloud app.
