OpenSign
From public sourcesOpenSign is a free, open-source e-signature web app and DocuSign alternative for signing, annotating and tracking PDF documents.
Overview
Sending contracts and forms for signature often means paying per-envelope fees to commercial platforms like DocuSign. OpenSign is a free and open-source alternative that lets you sign, annotate and collect e-signatures on PDF documents from a web app.
It supports hand-drawn, uploaded, typed and saved signatures, multiple signers with optional signing sequence, and guest signers verified by an email one-time code. Documents can be set to expire, signers can reject with a reason, and each completed document gets an audit trail and completion certificate. Reusable PDF templates, a document vault called OpenSign Drive, and an API with Zapier integration are also included.
OpenSign is aimed at individuals and teams who want self-hosted or cloud-based e-signing without a subscription. It can be deployed with Docker using the provided compose files, and the project is licensed under AGPL-3.0.
Note: the default deployment uses a non-persistent MongoDB, so configure your own database connection to keep your data.
